Betty Allen, 92 of Jeffersonville passed away on July 21, 2016 at Court House Manor. She was born November 2, 1923 in Carbon Hill, Ohio to the late David and Maggie Hill Christian.
Betty graduated from Carbon Hill High School, was a member of Jeffersonville United Methodist Church,the Apithian Sisters, and retired as a hair dresser.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Leonard “Bill” Allen, son Mark Allen, brothers Leonard Christian, Charles “Buzzy” Christian, sisters Lorena Hemsley, Mary Hemsley, Hazel Burch and Joan Harris.
Betty is survived by her daughter Marsha (Leonard) Burke of Flemingsburg KY, grandson Don (Marissa) Parsley of Jeffersonville; granddaughter Rebecca Allen of Xenia; great grandchildren Ethan, Evan, Emily Parsley, Jayden Allen, and Abby Cox; sister Kay Campbell of Carbon Hill Ohio; Step grandchild Shelia (Ryan) Howard, Dwayne (Lorri) McKinney, Leonard (Becky) Burke Jr. and Emily (Mark) Miller; step great grandchild Lyndsey, Kadence and Faith Howard, Madison Hunt ,Cameron Hunt, Christa McKinney, Kyle McKinney, Brandon (Shelby) Burke, Bradley Burke, Brittney Burke, Ashley Perry, Tina Perry, Ashley Miller and Paige Miller; great great grandchild Railyn Burke,Madilyn Morris and Teagen Taylor
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 1:00 PM the Morrow Funeral Home in Jeffersonville with Pastor Tom Knauff officiating. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00AM until time of service.
